Boogie on women
Image : The Graphics Fairy
I am writing an essay on Feminism and motherhood/ housewifery and have been reading a lot of interesting things about the subject. This sparked me to ask Boogie what he thought of women.
Me: Boogie what do you think of women?
Boogie: They are nice. And they ride bicycles naked.
(he is referring to the Queen video clip we watched)
Me: Do I ride my bicycle naked?
Boogie: No but your a lady.
Me: Is there a difference between women and ladies?
Boogie: Yeah women ride bikes naked and ladies wear clothes.
I'm not sure what to think of this!

Gratitude
Today was a long day with a very grumpy boy. Every question I asked Melon his response was “nooo”. He almost got ran over by a car this morning outside school as he ran off (and boy does he run quickly!). In an effort to find the good things in this difficult day I have made a quick list of things that I am grateful happened today:
Stories with Melon.
Singalongs with everyone.
Food- cooked with love.
Sharp pencils.
Not having to do the dishes
Small things, I know, but sometimes you have to keep your eyes firmly on whatever good things you can find, no matter the size.

Cleaning
I have been searching every Montessori blog I can find trying to get ideas to do with Little One. The earliest age I found posts on was 15 months. For a while there I was getting frustrated with the lack of ideas from myself or anyone else. But, alas, the brain has begun working slightly and this is what we ended up doing at 13 months old.
Cleaning the barn. Did I ever mention I love Practical Life activities.
